Beth Narain is an experienced fitness instructor with over 52 years of teaching experience and has clients that have trained continually for over 15 years. The unique way she sequences her exercises is effective in targeting the problem areas and preventing back and knee injuries. She grew up in South Africa and won a scholarship to the Royal Ballet in London. She spent one year studying at Arts Educational in London before entering the Senior Royal Ballet School. Her passion for dance took her on tour all over Europe with several Classical and Jazz Ballet Companies. Beth then relocated to Hong Kong where she worked as a choreographer at TVB, featuring in the hit pop show “The Star Show”. She also worked as Hong Kong’s first “lady DJ” spinning discs at “the Scene” in the Peninsula Hotel. Beth continued to teach ballet for several years, and her interest in fitness was a natural progression. She opened the first women’s exercise studio in Hong Kong with a partner the “Lotte Berk Studio”. Beth was trained in London by Lotte herself . The method incorporates callanetics, stretching and rigorous abdominal toning exercises that work the whole body without straining or building up bulky muscles. Beth then opened “Beth’s Workout” in Central, featuring aerobics , “stretch and tone” classes and callanetics. Beth’s dedication to exercise evolved into training in Pilates mat classes. She completed a course in Mat Pilates at the Physical Mind Institute in San Francisco and has completed several courses including Polestar Education Pilates. As well as private sessions, Beth currently teaches group fitness classes including cardio pilates, fit ball blast and a stretch and tone class designed by her. Beth concentrates on privates and small group sessions and focuses on body alignment corrections in order to prevent injuries. Beth has two grown up daughters and two grandsons and has a lot of experience working with prenatal and post natal clients whom she has trained up to giving birth.
